Jennifer Hofeld, PhD
Our Mission
For more than two decades, it has been my passion as a classroom teacher to shape students into citizens who will impact their homes, communities, and nation. High-quality educational resources and training give teachers the tools they need to do just that. These same avenues present a unique opportunity for industry to get their message into homes and communities. Engaging curricular resources which are based on industry-related content have the potential to spark students’ interest, impact communities’ attitudes, and combat misinformation. Ruffian Consulting exists to create these resources that can drive change.
Meet Jennifer
Through two and a half decades of classroom experience, I’ve honed both the science and the art of teaching. This experience, alongside graduate degrees in biology, science education, and program evaluation gives me the ability to help industries evaluate and expand their educational offerings. Helping industries reach families by creating and helping implement new and engaging curricula for students is my passion.
Educator Support
To implement innovative curriculum with fidelity, teachers should have access to high-quality professional development. I provide robust train-the-teacher workshops with both face-to-face and virtual options. As a trained instructional coach, I also provide ongoing coaching both one-on-one and for groups to improve teaching practices.
Combining a graduate certificate in program evaluation with my extensive classroom experience, I can evaluate your existing educational offerings for quality and alignment to both national and state education standards. Based on my findings, I will help you develop a vision and a plan for expanding and improving your offerings.
To help develop students into citizens who will have an impact in their communities, educators need access to high-quality curriculum that is engaging, challenging, relevant, and aligned to state and national standards. Working from content tied to your industry’s priorities, I create ready-to-use lessons that can be easily implemented in the classroom. My work has been published in practitioner journals and featured at national education conferences.
